Digital Printing

Using inkjet technology to directly print designs onto fabric, commonly known as DTG (Direct-to-Garment) printing. Due to the ink penetrating the fabric, garments produced using DTG are lighter and more breathable.

DTG allows for vibrant colors, intricate designs, and high-resolution printing. Moreover, it is conducive to printing complex patterns that span across seams.

Sublimation Printing

Sublimation printing is a digital technique that uses heat and pressure to transfer images and designs onto fabric. This results in a permanent, high-quality print that is resistant to fading, cracking, and peeling. The printer uses heat and pressure to transform the dye into a gas, which then penetrates the fabric fibers. This ensures a long-lasting design resistant to the common problems of fading, peeling, and cracking—critical attributes for sports uniforms that undergo frequent use and washing.

Screen Printing

Screen printing utilizes a mesh screen as a template to apply an ink layer onto the fabric’s surface.

For screen printing, a separate screen template is needed for each different color in the design, and each template requires one or multiple printing processes. Therefore, for patterns with multiple colors, both the production and template costs for screen printing tend to be relatively high.

Here are several common types of screen printing:

Water-Based Ink Screen Print

Water-Based Inks Screen Printing is suitable for light-colored fabrics.

Water-Based Ink Screen Prints offer an ultra soft hand feel, as the inks are actually absorbed into the fabrics.

Plastisol-Based Ink Screen Print

Plastisol-Based Inks Screen Printing is suitable for dark-colored fabrics.

Plastisol inks will leave a thin film over the fabric, which can be felt by hand and have a thicker feel as compared to water-based ink screen print.

Pulling Printing

Pulling paste printing employs a highly durable paste, and after applying the paste with a brush, the screen is lifted to leave more paste on the fabric.

Crack Printing

Crackled printing utilizes a paste that shrinks and cracks when exposed to heat, creating a natural textured crackle effect after printing and drying.

Puff Printing

Puff printing employs a paste that expands when subjected to heat, resulting in a distinctive raised texture after the printing and drying process.

Thick Plate Printing

Thick Plate Printing utilizes a specialized printing plate that allows for the application of a thicker layer of ink during the printing process, resulting in a bold and prominent printed effect.

Embroidery

Embroidery comes in two forms: directly stitching patterns onto the fabric with thread and embroidering pre-made materials onto the clothing.

The larger the embroidery area and the more intricate the stitching, the higher the cost.

Additionally, it is not recommended to use extensive embroidery on lightweight fabrics with a small GSM.

Heat Transfer Printing

Craftsmanship-Heat_Transfer

Heat transfer printing involves printing on transfer paper or vinyl and applying it to clothing through heat and pressure.

The main advantages of heat transfer are the ability to achieve vibrant colors, intricate designs, and high-resolution patterns at a relatively lower cost.

However, heat transfer patterns may have a pronounced plastic feel and lack breathability.

Washing & Dyeing Effect

The washing and dyeing processes aims to achieve a vintage or distressed appearance to clothing. Spraying a special effects agents solution onto specific areas achieves localized fading, while immersing the entire garment in a mixture of special effects agents solution, sand (and stones), and agitating it results in overall fading with unique patterns.
